Autozone sells these grommets advertized as wiper motor grommets. Its like a rubber disk with a a slit going around the middle and a piece of metal inside. Those may work.

go get yourself a large firewall grommet, and then just put it around the peg that goes into the bracket, and presto.....

I think I have an extra one at my shop my bro bought 2 from mazda the other day and only needed one let me know if you want it it was like 6.00
