Looking to buy 3rd Gen (need feedback)

I'm looking to buy a 3rd gen RHD if possible I was hoping to get some feedback and maybe some direction as to whether I should import from Japan or try to buy local. I have never imported b4 and was hoping to get info on any recommended places to import from.
Also if anyone who see's this and has a 3rd gen for sale near Toronto, Ontario,Canada, please let me know what you have. I have a decent amount to spend if the car is right.
Thanks

I imported my LHD 93 RX7 from the US. It was not painful in any sense, however it was far from anything pleasurable.

Importing the RHD is similar. Plating it should be the same as mine was. You need to ensure it meets all regulations. When I did it, it was beneficial to buy the 93, since it made it exempt from a check at a local shop (Canadian Tire is the choice they were giving me). So I bought it and it was outside the range (years).

I know a few people who are selling RHD cars. Their expectations are higher than you might think.

What are you looking to spend? I know a few that are in good shape, solid engines (they bought them, did rebuild of the engines) and they are turn key now.

Getting an American car is relatively easy now because they're all over the 15 year limit. But still not a total cake walk, least of all the shipping! But i'm with Jim on this one, if you have the $$ to spend get a lhd! It's a lot easier to get through the drive thru and your chances of being killed making a left hand turn are significantly reduced;). But like every rare/collector car they're not always available when you are. So you might have to wait it out. But keep your eyes peeled and eventually you'll find one you love! Best of luck
