I know this topic has been discussed many times, but searching just didn't give me the answer i need.

I put the 850's in the primary and 1300s in the secondary. I udjusted the PFC like it said to 64.5% and .04m/s. That didn't seem to be only thing i had to do. For some reason it's still running rich as hell.

I went into the cell that was idling and leaned it out as much as i could, but that made no difference. Looks like PFC will only let you go down to 50 and that's it. It doesn't seem to have any problems running under boost or stuff like that, but the idle is really rich and it's killing me. You can see black fuel smoke coming out of the exhaust. Under 15psi the duty cycle i got is 62% Which seems to be fine for me.

I also tried playing with the screw under the elbow, but that made it worse.

I don't know what else to do here about this idle. Anybody have any suggestions on how to lean it out anymore?

The battery has been out of the car before i put the injectors in. Then when i connected it i made those changes. I haven't reset it yet. Do i have to do that?

Thanks guys.

anybody?

im doing 850's and 1300's next week, i hope i dont run into any problems, did you mod the rail, or put in an extra o-ring on the primaries?

You still need to tune your car for 850cc injectors. You can't just put them in and expect the map to be perfect.

BoOsTin FD 05-10-2005 10:24 AM

Tune it where? The cell it's idline is all the way down, It won't go down anymore. The cells around the one that's idling are also lowered, and it's still rich.

What do you mean "all the way down"? As in the number in that cell is as low as it can go? That number is NOT how long your injector stays open. That number gets multiplied by the base map (accessible only with the datalogit software) and THAT number is your XXX ms.

To add on to what van said, aer you sure the injectors are not leaking?

get a datalogit, zero the base map (makes every value '1' so the fuel map displays true values) and then lean it out.

spend some cash and get a good dyno tuner.

BoOsTin FD 05-10-2005 12:16 PM

The injectors were blue printed and cleaned by RC.

And Yeah i meant that the cell that the car is idling at is as low as it goes. It will not go any lower.

We don't have a dyno tunner here, otherwise i would spend the money and have it professionaly tuned.
