Hey I am planning to FAb my own Twin oil cooler setup but I am running into problem with my AN size to mettric and most important is the treading where the bango bolt goes what size treading are those bolt that mazda use? thanks alot, khris

I'd call mazdarecycling and see if they've got a busted r1 or r2 up there they could send you the oil coolers off of.

use -10 An fittings and hose for your setup. 19 row mocals are normally more than enough oil cooling for whatever you are doing unless you are doing some SERIOUS roadcourse stuff.. even then.. 2 19 rows should suffice.

Ok but what size is the front cover threading? I need to run new line for to the rear and front cover I need figure out what is that size equall to? khris

If I remember it's a 1.5 x something. When I installed mine, I ordered them from mazdatrix because they were cheaper than summit racing or jegs.



For a 12a you will need one of part number 11901[0] and then one of 11902[1]

For a 13b you will need the same.



For a 79->85 oil cooler you need two of 11901[0]

For a 86-> today oil cooller you need two of 11902[1]

or for both you could wield on a new AN style bung using jeg's part number 555-15264[2]

For any other oil cooler u are on your own, unless you want to wield on 555-15264.



of course u will need to make lines for your application. On the adapters I ordered they were not camfered and restrictive, so I milled them out, and polished the inside so it flows more. You are going to need about 6 feet of AN-10 line (mesure this, it changes on each car by a little, I used 799-632170[3]) and 4 90 degree bend swivel connectors (I used 799-613180[4]).

That's exactly what I am looking for thanks alot, I will get the oil cooler from Summit Racing because they just start to advertise Earl's oil coolers 24 row for 199 each.

ive seen guys on cold days put ducktape over the center of there oil coolers at the track when i asked them to explain this they said oil is at its prime between 90 and 120 degreez so they dont want it to get 2 cold so dont go mad and take 2 big rid radiators and start freezing your oil
