Many guys who own JIC coil overs don't seem to be too happy on Evolutionm.net. Any thoughts?

i just installed mine today. I think they are badass. Great quality. Good Construction. Don't know what other people are complaining about?

Hmm..

I installed a set and they looked to be well made.

My experience with them is that they're very "hit and miss" with their products. One set could be perfect, the other could be off just a little, and another could be completely off. I think it's a gamble. I'll tell you this much though, hope to get a good set because their warranty is one of the worst out there today. If you decide not to go with JIC all together I would recommend ENDLESS/Zeal. Their quality and comprehensive customer service sets them apart from the rest.

Just my $0.02

Cagefreak got it...

Im not a big fan or JIC, Tanabe, Tein all for the same reasons they are hit and miss. IMHO without bashing they are like second rate HKS, Trust, Blitz. Most of the time the products are just cheap enough to beat the competition. Granted I had Tanabe racing set-up on my MR2, but customer service was nill! The outlook on their products(WELL AT LEAST SUS) is HIT AND MISS.

So who's first rate for coil overs?

LDawg 03-09-2004 01:52 PM

Endless

Aragosta--But if your in the real world with money haha I would say Buddyclub.

Ok, I have a friend that was just at the Geneva Motor show in Switzerland, and this is what he told me. He was telling me about all the crazy vendors of unattainable high performance parts, and he said that the Ohlins stand was practically ransacked for all their coilovers, and they were sold out apparently in under 15 minutes!! He even said that they had a set that would go on my FD!!!!! The price........ $3700.00 OUCH!!!! But anyway, apparently all the rich racers over there practically worship Ohlins, and swear by their quality, and racing heritage. I don't know how they stand up to Aragosta - which I have only heard AMAZING things about...... But JT got it right. Way too expensive. He said that most of the 6-figure exotic race rockets all sport Ohlins coilovers!! Coincidence, I doubt it.... Check their site out, not very helpful though.....
