I just put a new engine with a Xs to4 single turbo , 1600cc secounds and 850cc primary injectors, high volume fuel pump, F-con Pc as a piggy back, FMIC, tweeked the fuel presure regulator , and open ss exaust. My problem is that the car cranks over when cold without a problem and runs clean until it starts to warm up, then of course the gas mixture gradually becomes rich . Ofcourse as a result I have black smoke comming out of my tail pipe. I am brain storming this at this moment , but I would appreciate some input if anyone has run into this situation. I am checking the temp sensors to make sure that they are working properly thinking that it may be giving the PC false readings . You're first mistake is you are piggy backing the stock ecu and trying to run a single turbo. Why go cheap on the fuel managment system? Get yourself a pfc and upload a map from here, or have it tuned by someone who knows how.

Yea thats my next step . Just was hoping That the f-con would have worked for me being that it started and ran without a problem when it was cold. My only problem is that I am not to familiar with the "mapping" when it comes to these Pfc's . Is it done threw programs that come the Pfc's or will I have to have it made acording to the spec of my car? Any advice on what Pfc's is user freindly, cause I a tad bit computer iliterate.

Well, the PFC is a stand alone ECU controlled by a handheld controller. Basically, you find a map that suits your mods, download it to a laptop, upload it to the PowerFC and that's it.



You can then manipulate that map using the controller and add or subtract fuel where you need it. This isn't recommended for newB's who never tuned a car before, but I'm pretty sure you can find a map on the forum's that'll cover all of your mods so there shouldn't be any problems.

Yea I guess That is the only safe way to do it ,before I blow the engine trying to tune it . I have done all types of mods on my own and I guess I'll Leave this one to the techs. I really appreciate your advice guys, eventually it will ge done . Thanks again guys. I'll keep you posted on the progress.

get yourself a PFC. I have about 10 maps that will make your setup scream
