Hey guys,

Need a couple quick answers.

On the defi mechanical boost gauge i have a white and a black wire. The black(ground) i can ground where, and where can i hook the white wire?

The hose goes directly from the gauge to the plenum nipple right?

Thanks

your right about the hose.

Tie inthe white power wire any where you want. I put mine into the back of the fuse panel. You only need 12v.

Uh exactly how do i tie it into the fuse box and which would be a 12v?

Is there anywhere i can just unscrew and attach it to, being 12v.

If I am right the white wire woudl be the power for the lights... I dont konw what wire it is, but I would find a wire that gets power ONLY when the headlights are turned on....

Defi gauges are actually electrical not mechanical https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub..._DIR#>/sad.png

I have the D-gauge.

2 wires 1 black and 1 white and thats it.

If i hooked it to the cig lighter or the ash tray would it hurt to have the light on all the time?

I extended the wires and ran them up to the ash tray light, so that the light for the gauge only comes on when you turn on the driving lights.

And yes this is a MECHANICAL gauge, its not electrical its teh D-series gauge

The directions also say to use the 3- way splitter included and run the hose from the fuel regulator, the surge tank and the from the boost gauge to the 3-way.

I am just going from the gauge to the plenum nipple though.

Sevenx,

thats exactly what i want to hear.

The ashtray light is uncharterted territory for me. Can you be a little more in depth. How do i get to it and specifically where does the white wire go and is there a place to ground there also.

Sorry for bombarding you for questions but I need t finish this.

Yeah, dont go to the FPR not worth the time and effort. Well, I took basic speaker wire or any high gauge wire and connected it to the two wires from the gauge, then all you have to do is pop up the center consoul (sp) enough that u can see the two wires that go to the ash tray light. Im not sure which was ground and which was not, but just cut open an area to connect for both of them, and try it and see which one will work. Then you can run the wires down under the side of the consoul(sp) by your right leg, keep it underneath the plastic piece, run it up along that little panel next to the center radio and such, then run it up in that mess of wires and up to the gauges. Very easy to keep uncluttered and very not noticeable unless ustick your hand under the plastic.
