I havnow put inmy newer set of twins, Now when I drive the blow off valve goes off early and some times won't let me even boost up any pressure. Got any Ideas how to fix this?

where do you have the little hose hooked up to? You sure it's in the right place?
|
Are you running an aftermarket blow off valve. Just double check all the
hoses. |
I am pretty sure that all the hoses are hooked up right and I hooked up the BOV hose to the nipple on th UIM where the UIM meets the LIM. Thats where it has allways been hooked up. Also I hooked up a sensor that was disconnected when I changed the turbos out. It is a new sensor, I replaced the one that was there. It has a vac line and it has a blue electrical connector. Not sure what its purpose is. Any ideas? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Not sure what its purpose is. Any ideas? Is the sensor part of the sylenoid rack under the manifold? Is the connector light blue in color and in the front of the rack? If so, thats something for the Cali spec cars, has something to do with emmissions. Is your car a Cali spec? Maybe it wasn't hooked up for a reason. I don't think that should be related to your blowoff valve problem though. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/dunno.gif |
Yeah, I'm not really sure on that one.. Sounds like the BOV is broken. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/ohmy.png
BOV's are completely mechanical. Check to see if the little vac. line is clogged, or if the BOV is jammed open by a pebble, sand, dirt, anything. Maybe spray some cleaner through it, It may just be all junked up. |
Good idea Sinful, The old turbos were blowing off a temendous amount of oil so I will spray some cleaner in there to see whats up. I think it is just getting stuck open.
Rotary speedster, I think your right about the cali spec car, I am gonna unplug that sensor since it wasn't hooked up any way. |
