Does it matter what wire the resistor is tied into? Im guessing since all the injector wires have a black and yellow wire... that's a ground? Should I use the colored wire to tie the resistor into? Thanks. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

some people say it matters, some do not. When I was having problems with my car after all the rebuilding/upgrading, I tried the resistor on either wire. Both with the same result. Just remember DC current runs in a loop, so the resistor will have the same effect regardless of where you put it

Yea it shouldn't matter. I think I put mine in the power wire though. Be carefull and make sure you use quality resistors and solder them in properly. I was in a rush and got some crappy resistors from an electronics warehouse called Fry's. They were big rectangular ceramic resistors with a solid wire comming out of each end. One of the wires broke off while I was on boost, and cost me a motor. My guess is from vibration. We have some nice compact resistors that have a built in heat sink and work much better if you want some. Don't use the big ceramic ones.

Thanks much for the replies. Exactly what I was looking for! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png If all goes well... We'll start this damn thing soon!

black with yellow stripe is the power wire. it's also the thicker of the two. I put my resistors in this wire because there is just more to solder to and it will be stronger. I used 9.1 ohm 1 watt resistors for years and I've never had any problems yet on any of the 8-10 cars that I know they have been used on..
