installed all new injectors in my friends fd last night. got it all back together and when its running its making a loud squealing noise that sounds like a tea kettle. the car is non sequential and no emissions so there are only about 4 vacuum lines and they are all ok. we think the problem is that the injector grommets on the secondaries are leaking, causing a vacuum leak. what do you guys think?
symptoms: loud squeal no squeal at -500 boost and >-200 boost on the pfc once the car warms up it surges from about 1k-1.7k or so. |
could it be one of the rotating assemblies..... like alternator, waterpump, turbo? any gas smell anywhere?
yeah the grommets didnt look so hot but we didnt have anymore so we reused them. we checked everything else we touched and it all looks good. guess its time to tear this thing apart for the third time. |
