I've been told that I can completly bypass the TB and attach the coolant line that goes to it back to the water neck . Is this true? I also heard that it would really raise my idle though and it wouldn't even out, even when I get to operating temp. I want my car to idle normally but I also want to make the car as simple to work on as possible. any info???

yes , you can bypass it. I removed mine completely, capped the lines at their origins. You will have to wire open the thermo-wax thing.... can't remember the name of it, i'm sure someone will chime in that remembers the location of the "how-to" on this.

so basically close up the coolant passage through the TB and trick the thermo pellet into think that its at operationg temp at all times? okay, closing up the TB is easy but how do I trick the thermo pellet by rewiring it? or Am I misunderstanding you?any pics

Just take the line off the top/back throttle body and put it to the line on the neck. All it does is run through the TB and back to there anyway. No need to block any of the lines at the TB, or mess with the thermo-wax thing.



Mine runs fine like I just told you, but I also have a PFC so I'm not sure if that matters or not.

coolant to TB is mainly for those who live in cold climate. But still its not necessary.

I would leave the thermo wax rod as is. Most cases I have seen with someone wiring it up tends to leave a jumpy idle. I removed my TB coolant lines long ago too.

well moving the coolant line is easy. obviously.... what I want to know is how to stabilize my idle anyone have any suggestions or any other random comments?
