Normally, my car runs 12-13 psi...

Ok so to make a long story short, I raced an SR20 240 tonight and won. On the way home at 2:30am, my friend wanted to see what 140mph felt like. Since I was on I-95, and it doesn't really take me long to reach that speed, I figured ah why not. I downshift to third and punch it. I notice it feels a little different, shift fourth and punch it, but my car isn't accelerating like it normally does, and it made this nasty sound which could've been described as metal on metal or a sputtering loud air leak. So I let off and ask myself and my friend Bobby what could be happening. I try it again to see if I can see what's happening. This time I watch my boost gauage and notice that my primary peaks out to 15ish and when my secondary hits, my boost gauge goes berzerk! It jumped WAY over 20 psi so I let off immediately. I'm like "Holy ****!!" As I'm driving to Bobby's house, I think it can be one of three things.

A.) The secondary wastegate decided to take a **** on me.

B.) The wastegate vacuum hose flew off after the SR20 race

C.) Another vacuum hose flew off somewhere throughout the system.

Anyways, I didn't really have time to do an in depth inspection. I found a check valve that wasn't connected. However, it wasn't connected even before I had this problem so it couldn't be it. Just incase, me and Bobby reattached it. I couldn't take apart my intake system to see if the wastegate lost the vacuum hose but I'm leaning towards that.

So this is where you all come in. Can any of you think of any reasons as to why I would reach such insane boost levels on my secondary turbo on the stock sequential setup, other than what I've listed? Any quick/cheap solutions to the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what kind of boost controller are you using?

excactly, look at all the hoses too and from the wg to the boost controller

I'm not running an electronic boost controller... It's an aftermarket replacement for a stock part. It looks like a little bead.

The air leak noise wasn't a constant leak. It was kind of like a real fast repetative noise that was almost mistaken for metal. "psssh ... pssh ... psssh..."

I'm starting to think it was the wastegate slapping open and close real fast. I'm still leaning towards/hoping that it's a hose and not the wastegate itself.

Yup, check the rubber lines from the turbo to the actuators. If they have a hole or are popped off the wastegate will not open all the way.

Thanks for the input guys. I'm going to check it out as soon as I have a few hours to spend searching. Work's been killing me lately...
