Hey is there a big deal to make the 99 wing fit on the R-1 type hatch, Do i need to plug any hole or just get a hatch that does not have the R-1 wing it? Also for guys that park they car in the winter months where do u place the jack stand under the car? I place mine behind the front wheels & infront of the rear wheels? Is that ok? Last year I did not place the car on jack stand and I endup replacimng my tires with 4 new tires, because of that. Thanks alot, khris

I would try to get the stands under the control arms on the front and the rear.

The wheel will get flat spots if they sit to long.

I could swear that there was aome website that had the template for mounting the 99 wing that you could down load and print out.

It was either iluvmyrx7.com or lightning in a world of thunder.

I never use jack stands. I just move the car 1 foot forwards after 1 month, then move it back, ect.

Hey Fd3boost in the rear won't that spot eventally get bend from the jack stand? I look at it and it look like it's too small area to support the whole rear of the car? I don't know maybe I am looking at something different? khris

Nothing on Jackstands.

99spec spoiler, yeah that last link is nice. Too bad Mazda never came out with a TEMPLATE for the 99spec since all FDs came factory with that spoiler during those years.

i know the template ur talking about u can print it and tape it on the hatch to mark your holes. i found it while browsing one day lost it forever

Rolling the car is a good idea.

But I did have mine on jack stands all last winter (maybe five months)

Never had any problems at all..

The factory service manual shows where to position jackstands. Without looking, I think they are underneath the front subframe assembly for the front and either the rear diff housing or the forward trailing arm pivot points for the rear. I would just make sure to use a block of wood so there are no markings left behind.
