I was right. I swapped out the coils and put in a new set of plugs.

kaBAM!! She fired right up. Smoked like a chimney and runs like a champ.

My coild must have been shitty ever since I put the ported enginen in. The car was boostin up to 17 psi like no bodies business.I dialed it down to 15psi.

It runss stronger than before definitely.

Oh boy am I going to have fun at the import vs.domstic tomorrow. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

Idle is still sorta lumpy. I cant seem to get it smoothed out.

Its not bad but I want it better.

Anyone know how to test a TPS??

Do I just use a voltage meter and see if it is geting enough juice.. 12vlts I guess?

sweet deal man! https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...>/bigthumb.gif

page F-182 in the FSM describes how to test the TPS, doesn't show any way to test it that doesn't require an SST to read the voltages that are going to the ECU. Haven't seen a way to just test it using an Multimeter to test the resistance. I would think that there would be a way to do it though.

You check the output signal. It should range between 0-5volts and should be nice and smooth as the throttle is applied.

You can check this with the PFC https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

yeah you have 3 wires, 12v, ground and the 5v ref. signal. that 5v ref wire is the one you want to probe with the meter. Like justin said it should have a smooth increase in voltage from about .5v to 5v as you move the throttle linkage from closed to WOT.

I will tackle this latertrhis week.

But just a brief description of my problem.

I set the fuel at +12 at idle (it normally+20) on my purple.

And adjust the idle set screw and get the idle to sit around 800rpm give or take a 100rpm as it flutters. And it seems to keep dropping itself say down to 700-600 and even 500rpm. Sometimes getting slow enough to stall the engine. I recorrect the fuel and it repeats itself.

Sorts guessing this to be a fuel delivery problem or a spark related problem.

Anyone have any thoughts?

read my post about last night. That will solve all your problems.

If the idle won't stay stable you could have a vac leak, TPS problem, intake leak, fuel supply, etc...

How old is your fuel filter?
