I know it sounds like a simple enough plan. The harness connects through a white plastic clip that junctions at the door near the upper hinge. The harness connects to the interior harness near the drivers side kick plate.

I can see where the clip is, I can even see there is a blue connector somehow attached. There is almost no room under there, but I can just about reach in and grab the clip. the problem Is I cant seem to disconnect it. Has anyone done this before that can offer some pointers?

It cant be as hard as it appears.

it seems like at the top of the harness there is a little button tap that must be depressed for you to dismantle the connector. now i will try to find you a pic of the inside connector.

later man

haha, it wasn't an hour later, it was the next day.

But thanks so much that is very helpful. I really appreciate it. does it just pry off from the outside of the car, or do you have to unclip from under? Thats all I need now. Thanks again.

If you still need to know: that harness is a bitch. If you have somebody to help you, it is actually much easier to remove when the door is off, or at the very least, all the way open. It makes it much easier if you take the striker (the slider thing that keeps the door from opening too far) out. Then the door will be able to open a little bit further. Pull back the rubber connector from the car side and you will see the clip. There is a tab on one of the sides of the clip that you must push in to release it, then pull the two harnesses apart. I can't remember if it's possible to completely remove the two harnesses without taking the door off or not. I think the door will not open far enough to allow you to pull the harness out. In which case you need a buddy to hold the door for you, while you unbolt the hinges and unclip the harness. (Or, if you're nice, you'll hold the door while they do the easy job.) Hope that was some help.

thanks for all your replies. I decided to by-pass the harness connector for my passenger side door locks instead of removing the harness and it works great. Took 15 minutes and my passenger door locks work now!
