Heres the problem......
Installed New Engine (as well as lightened Flywheel/ACT Clutch) Put about 25 miles on it Then went to take home from friends and shifting seem to catch a little. Then next thing I knew..... Push in clutch - Still has tension Try to put it into gear and it wont budge. Turn off car goes into gear fine Push in clutch - Still has tension and put into gear fine Start car with it in gear starter moves the car and tries to start engine. Any ideas???? |
Check the slave cylinder and make sure to bleed the clutch line.

is it just 1st?? or all gears?? if just 1st and reverce then it's probably the teeth on your pressure plate. if its all gears it could be like fd3BOOST says.. something in the fluid line.

You think that they could get out of alignment? |

Did you disconnect the line that goes to the slave cylinder? If so I think Fd3boost is right, the first step will be bleeding it anyway. Also is it push or pull type clutch?
|
pull type clutch

I say bleed it change out the fluid, if problem is still there take it back apart and double check everything. I think there is also a sensor that works with the clutch, I don't know alot about it though.
|
There is no sensor on the clutch that i know of.
Jusat bleed the slave cylinder vavle. It will take you about 10 min. Thats the first thing i would do. It's the easiest https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
And if it does come down to you replaceing your clutch or haveing to drop your tranny... definatly come on here and let us know.. kinda tricky if you've never done it before... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png know a guy that spent 3 days just trying to take his tranny off the engine..LOL
