Need to replace the window controls and don't want to just start trying to pop things off.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

What exactly can I pop off to get to that switch?

Thanks!

It will simply pop out with a small screw driver. Just be careful not to break anything, but it is removeable without taking off the passenger door handle.

How about the wire?

Is it easy to slip in and reconnect??

Thanks!

Their is just a connector in the door with plenty of wire so you can pull the connector through the same hole and simply disconnect it.

Then get a new switch and replace it. Very simple job....5 minutes at most.

anyone got pics? cuz im gunna have to take my door pannels off as well in the near future

OK - thanks for the tip! It took some coaxing, but I believed in you! I managed to pull the other connector out, replace the switch, but it does the same damn thing!

Basically, window rolls down fine, but will usually not roll up. Rolls up fine from the drivers side controls.

Usually, it starts to roll up but slows down and stops. With the switch out, I can wiggle it and it'll usually roll back up better, but eventually it doesn't seem to want to work at all. Almost like it needs to cool back down before working at all again!

Weird...

Anyone have any suggestions???

need a new switch

I replaced with a used switch and same problem! Can't imagine both switches have same issue...

Odd....I would say it was your motor, but if the driver side window switch can roll it up just fine, then it must be in the switch or in the wiring.

Get a Voltmeter and check the wires that go into the main connector.

Red Wire = Up

Green Wire = Down

Blue/White = Up

Blue/Yellow = Down

These are the colors for both sides of the connector the switch side and the main side. Use the voltmeter and as you press the switch up or down, you should have current on those wires for up or down.

You may have a loose wire, or a bad wire, from your main connector.

Good Luck.
