Hey I know most of u on this forum have alot of contact and know alot of comapny's out there and that being said. I think it's time we should find a company that can make and engine harness and the battery harness to replace our old bridle {pos} wire harness really need help. I check summit racing they have engine harness for every chevy car that u can change any engine from carb to an EFI engine. I think the most popluar company is painless wire's?.Don't u guy's agree on this topic too? Cause my harness from my alternator side just cost me a $166.90 for a new alternator from mazda, due to the my gray plug {2 wire} protection insulation came and it they touch each and cause my rotor core of the alternator to created a shorted between the coils. New engine wiring harness is $476 from Mazdacomp. If your not registered then you can't get that good of price but do some shopping around and you should be able to get close. Making a FD engine wiring harness will NOT be easy, lots of different connectors to source, lots of wiring. I bought a new Mazda harness and it fit perfect.

I would love to have a new harness, guess I better start looking around.

I do think Mazda harnesses are still available. Won't be cheap, but neither would an aftermarket one. And I would rather have the Mazda cause it would most likely fit.

You have a good point

we looked at that, instead of haltech harness adaptors, full harnesses for the 87-88's, because those harnesses are so old. the thing is though at $500 the factory harness is a better deal. it fits perfectly, and the quality is superior.
