ok so my 93 fd has no a/c and i live in south carolina so its pretty hot and humid. well when i drive my car i keep both my windows down but its still really hot inside my car, i literally sweat while driving, but even with the a/c not working it still shouldnt be that hot while im driving and air is flowing into the car from the windows being open.
IS this a normal problem with other FDs? im thinking about heat wrapping my exhaust and see if i can get some kind of heat shield to put on my firewall to surround the engine, any other suggestions thanks mike |
My FD is the exact same way.

where in SC are you? I live right near Myrtle Beach. Wrap the exhaust with header wrap and it will help. You can also get the heat shielding stuff that goes under the carpet to keep some of the heat from radiating into the car also.

hey man yea im all the way down here in beaufort. yea i was planning on doing the exhaust wrap and ill have to see if i can find some of that heat shield stuff. you know anymore people here in sc with FDs

supposedly getting a downpipe as opposed to the stock unit will releive you some heat... and make sure you wrap it, and maybe blow vented air to your feet while driving to push it out of the windows
