OK i just bought a 95 fd 3 days ago.

She had had a rebuild 6kmiles ago, comp test fine, boost pattern fine

only mods a mazdaspeed decat and system, with dumpvalve, everything else stock.

after letting it heat up tonite i took my friend out in her and was showing the boost pattern and it didnt feel rite as hit 2nd stage of boost it all started misfiring, pulled over straight away and mist coming out of hood, had a look down oil filler cap and there is some white but none on dipstick but all above the oil filler cap the hood was wet, but smells like fuel not water.

this is my first rex so i need advice, if it is something simple ie pipes wont bother me that much but i have only just got her and i have been super gentle with her

any ideas

The white stuff around the oil filler cap is water and oil mixed together. I have seen that on a few rotors and i am not quite shaw how it happens. Hope you get it sorted out, they can be painfull at times but well worth it when they do run. Good luck

on a piston engine that means a cracked headgasket.... i have no idea if something similar is even possible on a RX. that doesnt explain the fuel smell though, coolant mixed with water smells like burning sugar.

the obvious thing to do would be check your fuel lines and injectors. could be as simple as a blown injector o-ring
