Hi, I am new to this site and I have a couple of problems. My new dream car that I just purchased, a '93 R1, won't start. My dash won't work, either. The car was sitting for a little over 3 years in South Dakota, now I am in Orlando. I checked the spark plugs, they're fine. I also checked the starter, it's fine. For the dash I checked the fuses under the driver side fuse box and they're fine. I don't know what to do, can anyone help? And if anyone has headlight covers or JDM back seat, let me know.

Welcome to nopistons! I'll forward this to the 3rd generation section, you should get more answers there.

When you say "won't start", do you mean the starter turns the engine, but it won't start? Or do you mean when you turn the key, nothing happens?

i first turned the key and i heard a spooling sound but the belts on the motor would not turn and there was no crank at all so i took the starter of to see if the solenoid was broken or the starter crank wasn't working but when i brung it to advance auto they tested it and it works fine and i still have the issue with the dash it wont work....ps....how do i ad a pic of my fd so you guys can see

The sound your hearing is probably the electric fuel pump...which is normal. As mentioned in the other thread, make sure you battery is good and fully charged. Also check the fuses under the cover near the battery. You might also try jumping from the battery to the solenoid terminals on the starter to iliminate issues with your ignition switch.

I really doubt the engine is seized, but I guess anything is possible.
