ive got an fd in the shop right now and i cant get the accory rack off because the frame rail is bent around it, i was wondering if anyone has pulled a motor with the rack still on?

for like the p/s and a/c?

Did it on an FC. With the transmision attached to it also. Everything was still attached, minus the alternator. I don't know if it would make a difference between FC and FD, but yes, it's been done. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.gif



And the motor that I pulled out was in a totaled car, and the frame rails were crunched! The shock tower was up against the a/c p/s rack.

i got it just took out the front suport, lifted the engine and moved it foward so i cold get the accory rack off.





fyi on an FD there is a gound that goes between the accory rack and motor.

I've done it but I don't have a/c anymore either. so i'm sure its easier without the a/c
