My 93 is going into the body shop in a week or so to get the 99 front end and wing put on, and to touch up a few issues. I figure it will be there for 1-2 weeks. When I had my 1st fd painted it sat in the shop for a while, and when I picked it up it ran like crap and the thermostat got stuck. This led to overheating, blown coolant seals, etc. I would like to avoid this. Is there anyway I could prepare it? Maybe ask them to start it up and let it warm up fully at least once a week? I never let it sit for more than a week without running it.

i have a really good idea. take pfc and turn boost to 1-2 psi also turn revlimiter to 4k rpm. then unplug your commander and bring it home. they won't be able to break anything on the car that way https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/devil.gif

Good idea, but remember you can't turn boost down that low because of the 7 psi wastegate spring, and I can't get it that low anyway because of full open exhaust. I guess I could set the value real low so it will just retard the timing when the boost tries to build.

take the c-clip off the wg actuator and wire the wg all the way open...best hope to keep boost down,

go to shop once a week and start it..i mean if its not in the booth, it shouldnt be a problem..
