most everyone has seen how my car looks to date. When ever i jack up my rear end to remove my tranny gas starts pouring out all over onto my floor.... not good. what would be the best way to get this to stop??? my two ideas are

1. jack up the front and support it by jack stands. than jack up the back w/ 3 jacks incase one fails ( i only have one set of jackstands)

2. Drain gas tank into a big ass big (like tubberwear) and syphen it in to my other car while its draining.

what do you think? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

Stuff two bolts of a sligtly larger diameter in the rubber part of the fuel lines and zip tie and hose clamp them on tightly. Draining the tank without removing from the car and having professionally serviced will only increase the chances of rust forming inside the tank while the car sits idle.

run the tank almost all the way down, drain it (theres a drain plug), and pull it. theres gotta be a line or valve thats disconnected back there.

its not supposed to do that

Pop open your hatch, peel back the carpet, unscrew the metal plate on the left side and check your connections on top of your fuel tank. Most likely you will find the culprit there. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

clay...

1-get a 5-10 gallon gas can...

2-stick your fuel line in that can....

3-jump the fuel pump connection in the diagnostic box....

4-drink a beer.

5-repeat as necessary

i like this idea.... where is step 3? and how do i do that?

just so everyone knows the fuel is leaking out of the lines in the engine bay. I have two of the ABS bolt in there (one in each hose) but it still leaks....

GreyGT-C 05-29-2005 10:04 PM

the diagnostic box is the one beside the battery... it says "diagnostic" on the top of it... kooky huh?

run a jumper wire from the wire labeled GND to the one marked FP.

then switch the key on... the fuel pump will run for as long as you have the key on after that.

drink beer.

why not buy a extra set of jack stands? their only 19.99 at sears....

FikseRxSeven 05-30-2005 09:24 AM

why do you have a fuel leak in the first place?i dont recall any fuel lines being disconnected when taking the engine or tranny out.

i suggest looking for the leak and sealing it
