I'm looking to upgrade my fuel system to the seemingly "standard" upgrade that everyone does, stock primary 550's and bigger 1600 secondaries. I found this kit and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this site, or if it seems like a way overinflated price.

Thanks!

I have 850 primaries and 1600 secondaries. Are you still running the stock twins or planning to go single?

I'm currently switching over to single turbo. I just bought an Electromotive TEC3 ECU, so I think the only thing that I have left as a limiting factor is the fuel system. Currently I have the upper intake manifold removed, clearing out the rats nest of solenoids from the twins and replacing some other stuff, so I figured since I'm already in that area, I might as well swap out the fuel system.

I've read that the stock fuel pump will support about 380hp and the stock injectors 420hp. I'm looking to run the car between 400 and 450hp, so I figure I need to address this issue. Under the hood, all I should have to do is replace the secondary fuel rail and the secondary injectors, right? Also, do I need to change out the FPR, or is the stock one sufficient? I've heard that the primary injectors are fine, and actually allow you to keep a smoother idle for street use.

The 850's in mine idle just fine, that's more of a tune thing anyways. You'll want a higher flow fuel pump to keep up with the bigger injectors. I use a walboro 255gph in mine but there are numerous options available.

I think it's the fpr on the fd that's known for leaking and causing engine bay fires.

When it comes to building up for a single conversion, you're better safe than sorry. If any fuel part can't keep up or fails while driving hard, hello detonations and busted apex seals

Ok, thanks for the info. I ran across the engine fire problem, it was actually one of the FC models, that's when they changed the pulastion dampers on the primary fuel rail to the ones that came on the later FC's and FD's. I'm thinking that I'm going to go with a new secondary rail, 1600cc injectors, an FPR and a new pump. I've heard good things about the Warlboro and Denso pumps, I'm going to shop around and see what I can find on them. I figure anything greater than 200lph should be sufficient for my needs. Do you know if there is any difference between one aftermarket FPR and another? They all seem to have the same inputs and outputs and most are sold as universal.

This is the regulator in mine.

Banzai racing did my engine build up and they now have an online store to order parts through. Besides the standard upgrades they also have a bunch of durability enhancing parts.
