im trying to figure out my fuel line set up. i have seen many people use the same set up and maybe i can get the answer here...

im using the KG parts primary and secondary fuel rails. i need to know what fittings to use that go into the rail itself, how long of fuel lines, adapters, what size line, and any tips that might help.

part numbers and web sites will help a lot. thanks...

maybe someones selling there lines that had this same set up. let me know...thanks

Your going to want to draw up a scematic to decide where you want to run the lines. That way you know which fittings you want to buy.

The fuel line and fittings will all be -06AN. You will need about 8' of line. You will need 3/8" npt to -06AN adaptors for the rails. So your going to need 4. I did two straights and two 90 degree elbows but like I said it depends on how you run your lines. You will need a fuel pressure regulator and the fittings for that along with either a Y block or a "T" fitting.

I prefer to buy from jegs.com over summit but both sites have the parts. Jegs is a little cheaper but not much.

Keiths how to might help you out too. http://www.3rdgenrx7.com/keithshowto.htm

I've redone mine a few times now so if you run into a snag just ask.

Oh and BTW I have a box of extra blue and red fittings if you want to buy some used ones.

thanks....that helped a lot!

im interested in the fittings too. got pics of how you ran your lines? i might want them 2 strait and 2 90's you have. let me know a price? (blue) these go directly into the rails right?

thanks again...

ok....so after i have the 3/8" npt to -06AN adaptors for the rails...i get fuel lines with AN fittings made to the length i need and im done?

these are the AN fittings that will screw on the the NPT fittings and have fuel line attatched to them right?

I can get you some pics here in a bit. Mostly it will depend on where you plan to mount your fuel pressure regulator. I mounted mine on the firewall behind the UIM. Most people mount theirs on the wategate and precontrol solonoid mounting tabs on the front of the UIM. That will dictate which elbows you will want.

In regards to the lines. You have to make them. You buy the line in feet. You want about 8 feet. You have to cut it and install the fittings to the ends of the line yourself. You can use push lock hose and fittings if you prefer that over the braided lines. That is what I did this last time around. It is easier to install the fittings using the push lock stuff.

dont really know what push lock hose is....where can i get some info on that?

It's just a different style of fitting and line. Search Jegs for "Push loc"

Here is how I set mine up recently.

another closer look.

Essentially you run the feed line into one of the rails, then loop the other end of that rail over to the other rail. Then run the other end of the second rail into the FPR. Then run a line out from the FPR into the return fuel line.

Thats about it.

sen2two 04-18-2007 12:37 PM

does it matter where the feed goes first?

i was thinking...feed line into the secondary rail on the firewall side, then looped down to the primary rail, then to the FPR, then to the return...

thanks for the help big time...
