I need to replace mine... its not leaking or anything. just has some tears in it. Has anyone ever had theirs replaced? How much? Is it possible to do myself, or am I defiantly going to have to take it in? And can I just use a good used one, or is it better to get new?

I would remove it. I did. It will let the air vent out of the engine bay if you remove it.

He's talking about the rubber around the windshield not the foam/rubber **** under the hood.

If you find out let me know b/c mine is deformed and looks like ****

yea, I figure I'm going to have to take it to someone...moveing a windshield around just dosnt sound like my idea of fun. Just trying to guage how much this venture is going to cost me.

Ive got the weatherstrip starting to peel and crack off in the upper corners of the windshield. How much cost to expect for replacing the rubber around the windshield then how much for all of the windows?

Its probably part of the windshield. So the glass is gonna have to come out to fix it. Either bust your windshield, and blame it on a trucker, or you are gonna have to come up with some money for a new windshield

the weather stripping is about $80 from the dealer. If your car has the original windshield, you may have to remove the glass to change it, if the winshield was previously replaced then it may come off.

Either way I would have a "glass shop" do it. On a side note, if the glass has to be removed to change the weatherstripping, most glass shops will tell you they CAN NOT guarentee that the winshield will not break when they try and remove it.

A FD winshield runs about $300 from a glass shop
