I am looking for a bigger intercooler. But I am not sure which type is better.. a side mount or front mount?? please give your suggestions. thanks alot.

i think it depends on what you plan on doing with the car.

A good SMIC is fine. But a FMIC looks more agressive, and is less prone to heatsoak.

It's ok dude we won't slam you in here for a little slipup.

I would say that as long as the ducting is good and they get plenty of cold air It doesn't make

a difference which you go with. Stock mounts are way easier to install. I will say that.

Yup...

I have a Petit cool charge II....

And as long as I'm not sitting in traffic... The temps are nice and kewl... If I pop the hood after a good 1-2-3 gear pull... The intake side is nice and kool. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

i just stuck in my apexi fmic and it looks so nice. that sucker is like 5 inches thick. i cant give you anymore info because my car is in like a million pieces right now.

For now I will be using my stock front bumper... I may eventually get a new one... but I'd rather do performance mods before I did any cosmetic mods. I am also thinking about getting the M2 intake box w/ piping..if that effects anything with the intercooler. I think if I get the apex fmic w/ the two air filters (which cost a sh*t load..) I don't think the M2 box would fit..

thanks alot.

the m2 airbox wont fit. i am 100% positive it wont fit. i am still using my stock front as well. also i didnt have to cut the bumper to make it fit. i had to modify"cut" a small piece of the frame though so that the end tank would fit. the endtake comes around right where the airbox sits, so you would need an open intake or a cone. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif
