Ok, I'm changing my clutch and was wondering if I should upgrade my flywheel while I was at it. I've heard multible story's about stock is better but I've also seen pics of the stock flywheel flying apart. I just use my car on the weekends but I drive it pretty hard. I guess I'm asking is it worth it to upgrade and if so which one did you go with?
Thanks! |
if you are doing the clutch it doesn't hurt....... ACT has some nice ones!

Thanks for the info Sinful7.
My question now is, Do I need an auto tranny counterweight if I get the ACT Streetlite? I've got the ACT Street/Strip clutch waiting to go in if that makes a difference. |
Unfortunatly, i have no experience with the ACT unit, it seems no one else does either. If i had to venture a guess, I would say yes, you need the counterweight. I am under the assumption that it is necessary to dampen output shaft vibration.
|
i'm not sure you can call ACT @ http://www.advancedclutch.com though
i'm pretty sure the price includes everything you need |
you need the auto counterweight with any light weight flywheel.
I have the SR motorsports one, it's great |
Sent ACT an e-mail to make sure. Now I'm just waiting on a reply. I also asked if it came with their flywheel or if it had to be purchased separtly. I'll post their reply soon!
