I know FDs are pretty specialized under the hood and would never take it to just any performance mechanic. How about after the engine though? I'm am having what I'm almost positive is a tranny or cluch problem. I can't figure it out, and as cool as it would be to have one of you crazy drive line thrashing speed mongers go for a ride with me, most of you are a nation or an ocean away. So I was going to take it to be trouble shot. Can I trust a recomended performance shop? Or should I stick with a seven specialist? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif

hehe.. make sure your "trans problem" isn't like a boost cut or something. I thought that's what it was at first.

About the boost cut, you got that with your PFC? |
nah.. my car hasn't hit over 12psi (stock boost cut) lately. that's when it happens.
does it feel like a slip at high rpms and/or high gear? That's boost cut. |
Oh yea.. i'm not too sure if upgrading to pfc will eliminate the boost cut.... it might.
|
Yeah, I have a pfc and have gone over the set boost and there was no cut of any kind. The only cut I've gotten was from the rev limiter.
