I put my 18 inch rim on with 275/35 R18 tires in the back. Is there way to roll the fenders up with out affecting the look. I don't want to damage anything. I was also thinking about droping the car another inch and wanted to know what to do about tucking the front wheels. Can I do that? and what do i have to do to get there?

You can roll the front fenders...

What are your offsets for the wheels?

Danno 12-28-2003 09:37 PM

Off sets?? How do you roll them. would I have to have a bady shop do it?

FikseRxSeven 12-28-2003 11:35 PM

rolling the fenders does not affect the way your car looks. you can simply use a baseball bat to roll the fenders, but you risk the chance of damaging the paint around the wheel well. you can get a body shop to do this to be on the safe side.

also, be aware of your car's camber, having a little bit of negative camber might be great for handling, and also make your wheel tilt a little bit inwards so it avoids the fenders.

Yeah offsets. it will tell us how bad the fenders will rub.

i haxe 18x10 with a 52+ offset and i dont rub in the rear, 255's up front with a 50+ offset. no rubbing...

buy a fender roller on ebay then share the wealth https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif

I guess that would mean that I would have to re paint the car. YOu have to heat the fenders correct?

turbovr6 12-29-2003 02:50 PM

the fenders do not have to be heated, but it will help if you know how to do it without melting the paint. The "baseball bat" is soooooo ghetto. There are specail hammers and metal shaping tools to properly roll a fender.

as far as the "easy way out"......COILOVERS!!

Here was my thought:

I was thinking that I could use a cresent wrench and slide it on the inside lip of the fender and gradually bend it up. I was thinking that it won't come out even though. How do u do it with a base ball bat?

I guess I can go to a shop and ask how much it will cost.

NO wrenches!! all you will do is wrinkle the fender.

Baseball bat,,,,, or wooden pole, or metal pipe. Jack the car up just enough to fit the bat, pipe whatever between the tire and the fender. push down toward the ground on the pipe, that will bend the lip inward, then ROLL the pipealong the fender using the tire as your guide.

I am not responsable if you wrinkle your fender, chip the paint off, or worse.

Oh and if you don't do it correctly, your smooth lip will now be a sharp lip, and instead of rubbing the tire, it will cut chunks out of it! So be careful!
