Ok I am lookin at the 94's and all of them in the states are 15k plus with over 50k miles!
So my other option is to import an Fd an convert it which is 14k. which should I go with? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...R#>/unsure.png |
What? and what?
A 94 has all the good revisions of problems made in 93. A 94 w/ 50k that runs great and is unmolested is in fact worth ~$14-15k. If that seems like a lot, or is a big deal to you, perhaps you should DoRifto a 240sx, they're much cheaper. Import one and import for $14k?! HAHAHHAHAH good one. |

I'm with Phoenix. Even if it is legally possible, it's hard to imagine that you can import a 'quality' low mileage 94 FD into the states... pay for the car, shipping, duties, inspections, insurance etc etc. and then get it converted from RHD to LHD anywhere near $14k. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683561.gif |

Yea, and you'd prolly opt for 99+ or a SpiritR/BathurstR etc too! The post just sounds like me 5 years ago when I was bitchin about Supra prices because I wanted one with a $5k pocket. |
Honestly? My '93 has 70k on the clock and I wouldn't take a penny under $18,000 for it. Not one cent.

Your's isn't exactly stock though....still a georgious MBM! I've seen your car pop up in some car compilation videos with supra's and such...it's cool to represent the FD's in it with such a nice example, its my favorite part of one vid i have https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
Sounds like you're interested in the wrong cars for your time.

I think 14K for a good quality FD with low milage is a good price. When I was looking this summer that sounds about what I was finding. I bought a 93 R1 with 120k, turbos and motor rebuilt at 100k, and wheels and some bolt-ons for $10,500. It wasn't perfect, but the cost to fix what isn't perfect versus what came with the car was worth it to me. The milage was a concern, but I didn't have $15,000 at the time. The car has been great so far. So $14,000 for a quality car is a good price.

You get what you pay for. The conversion will be a nightmare.
