I'm considering looking for an FD. I have had a 2 FCs and have worked on them myself and on other cars for about 20 yrs or so. Have lots of tools, so I'm confident that I am up to the task of maintaining/repairing one.

My only concern is parts availability into the future-out 5-10 yrs or so. Are there any parts at present that are not available new? Are the later models that were not sold in U.S. sufficiently similar to the 1993-95 so that one could be reasonably confident that parts production by OEM will continue well into the future? I know there is a lot of aftermarket stuff but you can't ever get everything for a car in aftermarket.

Before I put down $15K or so for a good FD I want to do something to address this concern. With these cars being so old now could it be that I am just too late to get into the game?

Thanks

the mechanical parts are no problem, they built the car until 2003.

exterior parts are good too, as they mostly also are the same up to 03

the interior parts are gonna be the hard ones, as thats the stuff that is unique to the US cars, and its also the stuff that most people dont buy.

buy the car with the nicest interior and straightest body
