does your R1 or similar spoiler/lip thingie rub a lot?

and other than cosmetics, there isnt anything bad about it rubbing, right?

mine rubbed alot its normal especially if the car is lowered

Dunno if this would work, but my oold neignbor used to get some teflon paint from Boeing, and he said it resisted abrasion.. Maybe coat the underside or leading edge of the lip with some crazy stuff like that to reduce wear.. or just drive carefully

I have heard of people using a pretty heavy duty black tape. (its almost like a thin plastic) Then when it gets scratched you just pull it off and put on a new one. Keeps the lip looking good all the time.

yeah its almost unavoidable to scrape up the front lip, the body shop put a 5mm rubber strip at the edge of the lip and when i had it on the car it was great
