I've tried searching, but can't really find a good explaination...



I push as hard as I can to seat the wires on the coils, but I don't feel/hear a click that lets me know they are on all the way (on any of them).



Upon searching I discover a new term, "burping the plug wires" WTF? I've never done anything of the sort on any car I've ever changed wires on. A paper clip was mentioned in one thread...just looking for some tips on installing Taylor Wires. Looks like I'll be zip tying them also if I ever get these fawkers https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...doublebird.gif seated!!!!

I assume you have a FD? I just had to replace plugs and wires last week. I also had a hard time getting the wires "click" onto both the coils and the plugs. I had to play with them A LOT. Damn things just wouldn't hook up correctly. Finally, with my superman strengh they stayed in place with a solid connection. Don't know why, but persistance paid off for me.



I have never heard of the term "burping" before either. Good luck.

Burping the boots is required when the wires fit so tight that air is trapped under there and physically keeping them from seating.



If you bend a paper clip, once the plug wire is on the plug/coil, run the paper clip between the sparkplug/boot and coil plug/boot (while pushing on the plug wire) to release the air trapped up inside. Think of it kinda like using a shoehorn (lol or does that date me?)



You are prying the boot away from the sealing surface to ensure it goes fully on.

Thanks guys...finally finished it up.



after the paperclip thing, there still wasn't a "click" of any sort. But after pulling back on the boot it felt attached to something.



I think I'm going to go back to stock next change.

Be sure when you pushed it on hard to didnt bend the clip on the inside, VERY easy to smash if they dont go on correct.
