hey, how much difference will tuning a 3rd gen make to its final milage. I wanted to do:

Exaust

intake

ecu

intercooler

fuel cut defencor(if its needed on a 3rd gen)

eletronic boost controller

what do yous think????i've heard that its not too bad if done properly. i would hope for around 100000 miles before a rebuild. I would of course carry out proper maintenance eg oil change every 2000 miles etc.

one more queston, when driving them how should they be driven? easy all the time? or is it ok too red line em alot??

:smirk:

cheers rich

with those mods you could last a 100k miles. a coolant seal would fail before an apex seal did........

yea and there is not alot you can do to prevent that, If they go they go.Of coarse you can get radiators and oil coolers etc. buut haow many miles have been put on the car before you did that stuff is what is gonna get you. Mine went out at 60k original miles and my car has been well maintained and I have a friend who has about 130k on original motor andtyhe car has been dogged and his is still ticking .

Luck of the draw my friend.
