Ok was driving the car today and whenever i would hit the brakes.. all of my interior and exterior lights would flicker as well as my radio would reset.

After parking the car and eating dinner, i got in the car and attempted to start it. It wouldn't crank. I had power to my radio and stuff but no sound or attempt to turn over...

So we push start it and now it won't idle and it dies again.. but this time i'm able to start the car up.. but still it won't idle.

I drive home.. by the time i get home.. the car will idle and the brake/flickering **** is gone.

WTF is it?

My friend has suggested that its my Negative Terminal on my Battery. Since my cable loop won't tighten enough to make a "perfect" connection.. This is a completely new problem.. SO i ask you guys.. what do you think? https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/wacko.png

Whoa.. That sounds weird. I guess it could be the battery terminal, but sounds more like the hot line going to the brake lights is grounding on the chassis or something.. causing all the nonsense.. Wish I could help you more, but you've seen my luck..

Dude, I had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM with my car just days after I got it, from a stupid ass negative battery terminal that had a hairline crack through it, which made it slip off a little bit whenever I hit a bump or sometimes it just wouldn't start when I turned it off. I was def freaked when it was happening to me, but thankfully I figured it out quickly and the problem was solved. Hopefully this is all that's wrong with yours too.

that used to happen to my car cuz of an unstable battery connection.

you might wanna check ground wires though after you make sure that the battery has contact and secured.

yah the negative ground wire on my car is shot.. the freaking band won't tighten enough for the terminal.. so i'm gonna replace it.. glad to hear that similar problems have similar fixes heh.

Lucky bastards...

justin.... you'll never know, maybe its just the negative connector to your battery..... hehe

twinturborx7pete 02-29-2004 10:04 PM

its very possible dude.

I would KILL myself... But hell, I'll look at that too. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
