Hey All,
I went on a nice 300mile ride on the twisties in AK and noticed that on a 16psi pull to redline in 4th my EGTs got up to 1500F....On my dyno pull it saw just a tad below 1200F at 16psi in 4th...What do you make of this? Also, what do you consider to be a high Low, normal, and high EGTs? Thanks, Me. |
theres not as much load... you're on rollers compared to actually pushing the 2800lbs of metal forward and into the wind resistance

Difference in load. Plus on the dyno you're making a pull and shutting it down, where on your trip you're driving hard on and off for a long distance.

Beat on that bitch, Davey!!
You haven't lived until you have made a pull from 40 mph in 2nd to the top of fourth (140mph) at 18 psi......14 seconds flat https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683329.gif Time yourself and let me know what you get https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png |
A load-cell dyno can emulate any driving condition you can dream up.
