Ok guys, this is coming from a local guy here in Delaware, a new scam has started to rear its ugly head on Ebay. Guys that are selling cars end up having an entire ad stolen from either a autotrader ad, or from a CarDomain website. The seller takes all the pictures and makes an ad selling the car on Ebay for a rediculasly low amount.



Here is a recent victim, Scrub can verify that this car was sold for 20k not long ago, and now is being listed on Ebay.

Hey Everybody-

To make a long story short, my best friend owned a black R2 until about 5 days ago when he sold it for close to 20k. Tonight, he found it for sale on ebay for the low price of 2,025 dollars from the owner who claims to be from France.



This auction is a scam.



This person stole pictures taken by my best friend and even used his information on the car as if it were his. This person knows nothing about the car and even put incorrect information about it in the listing.



I urge you to post this in every forum you know. Think about it: You could be saving an innocent person a great amount of money and we, the honest people can get over on this liar who's attempting this scam.

Hope nobody gets bit by this. And maybe these guys will stop this crap. I really would hate to see some folks get a negative feedback from one of these.

i reported the matter to ebay and should get a responce soon i'll let you guys know what happens

Also never buy anything from a guy that goes by ptrotary. I brought a 13b from him for 3000 and he skipped town after a month. eBay and paypal are doing nothing about it. Dispite that complaints i failed against.

This **** really sucks. My friend called me yesterday asking about that car that he was going to bid on. $6000 for the car including shipping from France just makes no sense. I am glad that I told him it must be a scam since shipping along from France will cost about $3000. Why wouldn't the guy just sell it to Germany or something and put some money in his pocket.



A lot scams lure you in by offering unbelievable cheap prices. Don't be cheap! Always buy from a reputable seller. Things cost the way it is for a reason. When things are too cheap to be true, run away!
