im completely dropping the power steering on my 93. and before i go to the store bolt hunting. does anyone know the size bolts i need to plug the rack? im only taking the line leading to the pump and the cooler one. the two lines just leading from one side of the rack to the next are staying.

you need to make a loop that connects those 2 ports so that it can still transfer air/fluid.
huh?
why cant you just block the holes?
the fluid inside the steering rack assembly needs a path to get to the other side of the rack when you turn. You still need fluid in the rack even after the PS Pump is removed to keep the internals lubricated.

keep the power steering... not worth the horsepower you'll gain by removing it.
i like manually steering gives u a nice work out and a better feel for the road also a nice clean engine bay not every one does it for the .5 horse power
Im not dropping it for the horse power factor. my AC is already gone so if i drop the bulky PS also, the huge ugly bracket comes with it.
i kinda want my engine bay as bare as possible. im going to the Lowes today and i'll let everyone know what the sizes are.... |
