My driver side door doesn't close as easily as the passenger side.

there are adjustments that can be made, depending on what is actually wrong. Have you owned the car from new? has it allways done this? maybe the car was hit.

Hard to tell from your description but the problem is likely not in your hinges. To check for worn hinges, open the door to about 45 degrees relative to the car. Holding onto the door from the bottom edge, pull up sharply and then release, listening/feeling for any noise or slop. Check the striker and latch mechanism for unusual wear pattens.
If it's just a matter of not swinging closed as easily, check the simple-cheap things first. Put a small amount of grease on the door stop brace and try alittle lube on the hinges themselves. There are adjustments in the hinges as well as the striker and latch but it can be touchy. It's easy to make things worse instead of better if you've never done it. Do you have a good collision repair shop that you trust? You may want to consider having them check it out as they do that sort of thing all the time.
