I need new oil coolers and these are the only ones I can find. So does anybody know anything about them? The page says they're made by fluidyne and I've heard some good things about them, but have also heard that the stock oil coolers are the best. Thanks.

Chuck has several different kits depending on your needs.

GreyGT-C 03-13-2005 10:28 PM

if you have any skills at all, you can build your own kit for quite a bit less than any kits that i've seen for sale so far.

actually chuck doesn't make much money off his kits. After getting all the pieces and having the lines pressure tested there isn't much markup. I've had it for a while and I like it a lot.

i built a kit for a guy this past week dual 19 row Mocal coolers...finally price was about $450

bencb44 03-14-2005 07:33 PM

thanks, i'll give rotary extreme a call sometime and ask about them.

Where'd you get the coolers from? It shouldn't too hard to make one, but I haven't seen the actual coolers anywhere.

GreyGT-C 03-15-2005 01:04 AM

www.racerpartswholesale.com

www.summitracing.com

www.jegs.com

www.hoerr.com (i think)

many many places sell the coolers.............

rfreeman27 03-15-2005 04:13 PM

did you use t-stats?

GreyGT-C 03-15-2005 05:38 PM

we ordered one for the kit i was helping my buddy build.... but No, i don't use them. mocal T-stats are imfamous for sticking shut....meaning no oil to the coolers. You just have to be easier on the car before it's warmed up completely w/o it installed.

rfreeman27 03-15-2005 06:09 PM

I was going to build a kit without the t-stat, but was warned not to do so.

The high oil pressures kinda scare me, i dont want to granade a oil cooler...

I guess its not like i jump into my car and go hard, so it really doesent matter that much..

GreyGT-C 03-15-2005 06:13 PM

is this for the drag only car?

rfreeman27 03-15-2005 08:47 PM

Yeah, but i also drive it on the street so temps are a very big concern...
