I need to do a diagnostic check because I think I have fixed almost everything possible. Is there a way to do this on my own. I have heard you can use a paper clip in the dianostic ports to make lights flash on the dash for a code. If not i have to go pay $90 to get it done plus I have to get the car there some how. And that costs money$$. This sux.

No one knows anything?? Looks like I am going to have to pay the $90.
|
if you lift the cover on that diagnostic port, it will have a map of what each pin is. use a paperclip to jump the "ten" and "gnd" terminals. get in the car, turn on the key, and count the flashes

Thank you! I am going to do the test now.

Got no codes but I did notic the smoke comeing from the turbos.
|
actually from the turbos or the exhaust pipe? if it is coming from the turbos first you have a leak on them like oil or coolant or a loose connection on the pipes coming off them it should be an air-tight seal at the turbos.
like was said in the other post check the map sensor. look for the simple stuff first. if it all checks out ok the turbos may be going. how many miles? what color is the smoke? do you have an air pump? mid-pipe? |
It was oil dripping onto the turbos. Thanks

glad its running well!
