the only thing i am curious about is the reliability of the twin turbos. generally from what i've seen lots of people have gone thru rebuilt turbos faster than engines.... maybe that's a bad analogy but you get the idea.....

brand new mazda OE turbos will last a long time but they cost $3000 . it's only with the rebuilt twin turbo assemblies that i have seen no where near as good reliability. i hope these BNR's can provide the reliability but only time will tell as they are still new

they come with a 1 year warranty as do all BNR products, IIRC.

a warranty is good but if they fail you have to remove the turbos send them back. see if they are covered yadda yadda. i'd rather have something that won't fail for atleast 50k miles.... like brand new stock turbos. on my own car i was gonna put 30k mile twin turbos but instead i went single turbo and sold those turbos. i just don't trust the rebuilt units from what i've seen :flush:

also the warranty sounds like unless you dont replace the supply lines, and you don't take it in the yard and cut it in half it'll be covered. I'm sure stupid things like "i used a tshirt as an air filter and it fucked up my turbos when it sucked in" wouldn't be covered but i doubt they're expected to be covered https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

The main problem with rebuilt twins is there isnt a good suppler for carbon seals. Carbon seals are very old out dated 80's technology. Brian wasnt happy with any of the carbon seal you can get on the market, they are all crap and start going bad premature, you cant get the oem seals anymore either......SO, he redesigned the internals to use a modern seal. They should be faster spooling, more reliable, and much cooler than stock oem turbos.



I mean only time will tell but I must say the set on my car are just proto-types that he didnt even fully balance and I've been running crazy boost with them daily for about 5000 miles and so far they have worked great. I know 5000 miles isnt much, but the way I've been beating the **** out of them believe me 5000 miles actually means something LOL. The first day on the dyno the wg rod came undone and the wg was just wide open, I was still hitting about 17psi of boost which means the turbos were screaming at the top of thier lungs....with no problems....for about 15 runs lol



Like I've said I've been giving them a good working over haha
