There is a constant beeping noise coming from inside the dash near radio. It is a constant noise no pauses. It stays on until the key is turned off or until the turbo timer turns off. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fd3BOOST 02-14-2004 09:43 PM

When did it start?

Where you doing some work on the car and have it show up shortly there after?

Skylinecar1982 02-14-2004 09:53 PM

It started recently the only thing I did was changed the spark plugs. I tried all the buttons like lights, dimmer, anything.

jspecracer7 02-15-2004 02:26 AM

Is the light for the low coolant warning on? If it is, when you were changing spark plugs, you accidentally detached it. Look in that general area and see if there are a pair of black(or possibly white)connectors(one end male, one end female).

Yea the coolant level sensor should be hooked up.. LOL

the sensor is by the water pump housing..

tucked underneath the crossover tube..

quite a bit of distance from sparkplug change..

unless of course the wiring ran pass the coils..

could be possible that your coolant level is low..

buzzer is sounding the alarm.. and your dash warning light bulb is out...

Yep, there is actually another plug over near the front sparkplug wires.

Only trying to point out that it has a buzzer and even if it goes bad it will go off.

Not necessarily that he unplugged it.

FikseRxSeven 02-15-2004 10:59 AM

make sure you connected back the coolant hoses to the TB if you took the TB off for the spark plug replacement

tampaFD 02-15-2004 04:06 PM

who takes off the elbow to do plugs? it could be the oil level sending unit that is right there.

If you trace the water level sensor(by cutting open a stock engine harness) you'll see that it connects once by the filler neck and then runs right behind the power steering then becomes a male end/female end and back into the ECU. I don't know why, but every time I pull an engine, I forget to connect it and the beeping drives me insane. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...1047683358.gif

Thanks

FikseRxSeven 02-19-2004 09:42 PM

that botton is to raise and lower the headlights on demand even when the lights are off

Skylinecar1982 02-19-2004 11:43 PM

no that button is to the right of the fuel gauge. The button I'm talking about is behind the shifter next to the exhaust overheat light. But I still dont know what the broken wire near the plugs is??????????????

Is it the fog light switch?

9BASE3 02-20-2004 10:36 AM

The beep you are hearing could be the charge battery warning. Hook the batt up to a charger for an hour or two, then turn the key on. Beep should go away. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png
