I was wondering if anyone knows it there are any common spots to check for oil leaks on my 1993 FD?

around the rod ends....and the head gasket......

oil pan is notorious for leaking....internal turbo seals....

If you have a small leak on the drivers side near the firewall it could be oil presure or the oil filter mount (not the oil filter but the mount that connects to the engine)

mine was a cheap part, timing cover seal. just that the labor was about 1300 dollars. i worked on that biyatch for nearly a month until i finally gave up and took it to ricks rotary. he found it and about a handful of other things that are keeping my 7 running super happy to day. also the oil pan which can also be a bitch. motor mounts which will make you think its an oil leak since they are hydrolic mounts

Does the engine have new motor mounts?

Other than what was on it when it left the factory?

The newer ones are missing a little tab that holds the oil pan pressed into place.

You have to shim in for it not to leak.

Besides that you have the rear stationary gear o ring. that is commonly mistaken for a rear main seal leak.

The oil lines on the turbo can blow alot of oil. The oil pressure sender could possibly leak , but I doubt much.

And the oil pan . Those are the spots I would think to watch.
