Okay I just bought a 93 Mazda RX7 that recently had a rebuild on it. It now doesn't hit boost and tops off at 4300 RPM's getting crappy fuel mileage. It has the mods that are listed below. I'm looking for a good dyno and tune near Rapid City, SD. If anyone knows of anyone please let me know. I don't even care if I have to drag it as far as Denver to get it done. Any help is appreciated. Please PM me with any known shops, names, numbers, etc so I can get this done ASAP. Thanks

did you ever think that the guy you bought it from got rid of it because he fucked the build up and theres no turning back now its just gonna nickel and dime you till its done or you pawn it off on someone else?
Even if I have to replace the engine I really couldn't beat the deal on the car. I mean the body alone on the car is worth what I paid not including the mods, so if that's the case I'm still G2G. That and he only sold it because he wanted to make a drift car out of it and didn't have the time to do so since he's gone at least half the week on the road for work. |
You need to sort out the boost issue and get the car running properly before your ready for a tune. Steve Kan is well respected and familiar with the PFC... http://kantuning.com/forum/index.php You can check the scheduled sessions for one closest to you. Off-hand, I don't know of any shops in your area familiar with the rotary.
From the FAQs on Kan's site: What do I need to do to prepare my car for the tune? Please replace the following: Fuel filter Spark plugs + wires (If your running 14+ pounds of boost, or tuning with race gas. Please install race plugs.) Clean or replace air filter. Please have all modifications installed properly. It will only waste time if Steve has to track down vacuum leaks and troubleshoot other issues. So please have the car in good running shape before the tune. |
