Hey, my last topic was about how my 94 flooded, and what I should do to get her started.

Well I got some time to work on her the past few days. I did a compression test last night and got nothing. Figured it was still flooded. So I unflooded (again), and got her dry.

I then took another test, got it to about 30psi. Added some mobil 1, got her up to around 50psi on both rotors, even pulses. Cant seem to get it any higher. I tryed some MMO, and it really didnt help much. Im going to add a bit more, to see if it helps. I dont really feel like putting ATF in.

But my question is, what should be enough compression to start a cold motor? 75, 80psi? I still have had no luck getting her to start.

Thanks.

60 psi maybe? I had 3 bad apex seals (front rotor I believe) and 2 bad apex seals in the rear (this is in one of my many motors) and it would start up just fine when it was cold.

Now when it was hot that's a different story.

pineapple/gtgarage did a compression test on my 94 fd, and it came out 86 on front and 82 rear. According to the guys at these garages, 70 is the breakpoint for being able to start an fd.
