I am in the market for a clutch and want to know which ones yall run....mainly the single turbo guys...so list on... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

Not a single guy, but I run a Spec clutch. I've been very satisfied. It's held up great so far. I've got the BNR stage 3 twins non seq and I'm putting down 385 rwhp just to give you an idea.

Bryan at BNR Supercars also runs the Spec clutch. His car made about 430 rwhp at the last dyno I think.

what is your budget? and what kind of power are you looking to get?

go twin disk or a clutch that is not a pull type like the factory, get a push type clutch, os giken might i sugjest.

thats why i asked for the budget...

i would suggest os giken, but to get a setup that will work for an fd, he might spend well over 2000 bucks

dont really want to spend 2000 dallors on a clutch but i will if i have to. I just want a descent clutch to hold up to arount 400-500hp what about excedy....the car really dont hook up hard enough to worry that much about. How much is the spec 2 and where do i get it..

7passu 07-20-2005 09:02 AM

i have a mazda HD in it now and it works fine but after my tuning session on 27 i know it will go quickly if it makes it through that. Thanks for yalls info...

Get the spec stage 3. I'm using that in my FC. ALthough I'm only putting out 186 ft-lbs of torque. It's rated for up to almost 400. I Like it. drives nice, not harsh like the ACT setup.

BTW when shopping for clutches it is not the HP that matters, but how much torque your engine puts out.

7passu 07-20-2005 09:38 AM

yea i know about the torque but people always want to know the hp when deciding in the clutch https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png

you can try exedy hyper single, it is rebuildable for when you eventually burn the disc. its less than 1000 dollars, and its rated for over 400 hp.... and streetable
