Ok, got this FD here and the previous owner said he disabled/wired the clutch switch up... or some ****. Anyways he said he wired it up so the car starts without pushing in the clutch. This somewhat bothers me and i'd like to send it back to normal.

If anyone knows what the hell he did, let me know.. or how to put it back to factory.

Thanks

These cars start anyway without pushing the clutch pedal in.

They're not a hyundai!

If he cut the wires on the switch, maybe it was faulty so try reconnecting them (the switch is on the pedal box) and see what happens.

The ones in the states do not start without the clutch pedal pushed it. It's an added "safety" feature the US Government requires I'm guessing.

JDM and I'm guessing Aussy FD's do not have it built in as I do not have to push my clutch pedal in either.

Wow, I know the first thing I'm changing if I ever go back to the States.

I've been pushin the clutch to the floor for 12 years. Its like 2nd nature now.

Whats the big deal?

twinturborx7pete 11-25-2003 01:18 PM

so its not really that big of a deal huh?

Turbo II 11-25-2003 01:39 PM

i dont see it as a big deal.

turbovr6 11-25-2003 01:56 PM

he most likly just cut the 2 wires from the switch and connected them together, just find the switch, and the cut wires and re connect everything
